Eel Festival: tradition and folklore

Comacchio and its Valleys are preparing to welcome the Eel Festival. A unique opportunity to discover the characteristic historic centre of Comacchio, its museums and the natural beauty of the Po Delta Park. Three weekends dedicated to the flavours of the local area and its oldest traditions.
During the Festival, there will be numerous entertainment opportunities: shows, guided tours, exhibitions and excursions to discover the traditions and secrets of Comacchio, its Valleys and the Eel, the undisputed Queen.
For the occasion, we are offering an exclusive stay in Comacchio, the capital of the Po Delta Park of Emilia Romagna.
The offer includes:
- 2-night stay in the historic centre of Comacchio with breakfast;
- a pleasant boat trip through the Comacchio Valleys to discover the ancient fishing stations, the Casoni di Valle and the fish trap;
- a bike excursion to Casone Donnabona, where you can discover stories, anecdotes and superstitions linked to life and work in the Valleys, while enjoying a small aperitif featuring traditional flavours (every Saturday of the Festival at 4.30 pm);
- a characteristic guided walk along the streets of the town's historic centre, accompanied by a local guide who will reveal anecdotes and curiosities (every Sunday of the Festival at 11.00 am).
