Description of the Experience
10:30 AM – Boarding and beginning of the boat excursion (2 hours) along the Po di Maistra and the Ca’ Pisani floodplain. This is the most natural and scenic branch of the Po Delta Park, the one least altered by human activity, making it ideal for birdwatching enthusiasts.
The floodplain of the Ca’ Pisani Oasis and the vast riparian forests of poplars and willows that surround this branch are the perfect habitat for many bird species, such as the Kingfisher, the Bee-eater, and the entire Heron family. Slowly descending along the river, you will reach the heronry of Ca’ Venier, the largest heron nesting site in the Po Delta Park.
12:30 PM – Disembark and rent a bike for a cycling route that will take you through various environments of the Po Delta Park, including the stunning Sacca degli Scardovari or the fantastic fishing valleys beloved by flamingos. Return by bike to Ca’ Tiepolo, the starting point of the tour.
